Many of the tornadoes that you see on the news would most likely form from thunderstorms. Warm, moist air during a thunderstorm plays a huge part in the formation of a Tornado. If those two types of air collide, it creates instability in the air, creating this terrifying whirlwind that will destroy everything in its path. On the 26th of April, 1989, the Daulatpur-Salturia Tornado took the lives of 1,300 people and left 12,000 other citizens injured in Bangladesh. In a further look into this investigation, it showed that 80,000 people were left homeless during this time.
